MY ROLE
During my time at Mauge (2015-2022), a creative agency in Chicago's Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood, I held the roles of Art Director and Senior Graphic/Branding Designer. I played a key role in developing more than 50 brands across real estate, automotive, hospitality, and various other industries—leading the entire design process, from the creation of brand identities to the production of print and digital marketing materials, including websites.
Working closely with project managers and clients, I ensured that my design solutions achieved the ideal balance between visual appeal and practical functionality—by prioritizing an understanding of the clients' needs and incorporating user experience design principles.

Branding
Developing brands at Mauge was a significant aspect of my role. Initially, we would iterate through multiple designs of a logo in black and white, followed by exploring color options and creating mood boards to capture the identity of the brand we were developing. Next, we would create a detailed brand guide, and then proceed to design marketing materials, websites, and more often than not, provide ongoing support in both print and digital materials for the client.
Below are 27 logos I designed, accompanied by additional design materials I created for 9 of those brands.
Aston Chicago
Aston is a luxury apartment building located in the vibrant Streeterville neighborhood. This project was a collaborative journey—from conceptualizing the name to aligning the brand identity with the interior design of the building. Our team crafted memorable creative, leading to elevated rents while upholding high occupancy rates. Below are some of the materials I designed, including the initial homepage.
McLaren Chicago
With fewer than twenty retailers in the country, every McLaren dealer is tasked with serving its city, state, and region. McLaren Chicago’s area of responsibility encompasses Illinois as well as its five neighboring states, and their clientele hails from across the Midwest, necessitating a market strategy that is both expansive and thorough. Before the dealership's opening, we worked to establish the most optimal marketing foundation possible, while also assisting in structuring their grand opening, contributing to their overall success. Below, are a few of the materials I designed in our ongoing support for McLaren.
2XL
2XL is a global company providing cleaning solutions to facilities and businesses worldwide. The company has established itself as a trusted manufacturer and supplier of wipes, stands, dispensers, and hand sanitizers, aimed at preventing infection and sickness. I aided in developing new marketing collateral, including sell sheets, packaging, fun illustrations, and various print and digital materials, while also assisting in their rebranding transition.
CryoEffect
With little more than an idea and a name, the founders of CryoEffect—a cryotherapy/cold spa business in Chicago—approached Mauge with a significant request: help us open three stores in eight months. We began by crafting compelling narratives and designing branded spaces. With our media strategy and branding in place, the fourth location was already in development. Below are some of the materials I designed to support CryoEffect's four locations, including a vehicle wrap and updated branding for their mobile branch.
Bucksbaum Properties
As a longstanding client of Mauge, I designed a real estate booklet/template for Bucksbaum Properties, a fully integrated real estate owner/developer based in Chicago. The template aimed to showcase Bucksbaum's diverse range of mixed-use properties across Chicago and help attract prospective tenants.
